“A group of seven of us stayed overnight at Chelsea Park Motor Lodge before starting Cycle Journey’s Great Taste Trail leaving from Nelson.

We were all very impressed with the warm friendly welcome we received on check in and the easy check in and out process. Our rooms were quiet, very roomy, tastefully decorated, extremely clean, comfortable beds and a short walking distance to the CBD.

The owners went out of their way to ensure we had all the information we required for our stay e.g. Nelson Street map, recommendations for lunch and dinner, directions us to where we had to be to start the cycle trail the next day and even offers of help with transporting our luggage….how awesome is that?

We would highly recommend Chelsea Park Motor Lodge as a place to stay in Nelson.

“We loved staying at this Motel, really warm friendly hosts!
The room was really clean and the bed very comfortable. We sat outside in the charming little courtyard attached to our room with fantails flying around, such a peaceful place to enjoy a drink in the evening! The motel is only a couple of minutes away from the Cathedral, everything within walking distance but enough separation to be a very quiet spot. Thanks Dean and Tomoko we will be back!”

“Great place to stay, with friendly staff who go out their way to help. Including checking you in whilst in your car because it’s raining so hard!!
The room we had was a two bedroom family room and it was an awesome size. With an open plan kitchen, dining, lounge area and two separate good sized bedrooms. The bathroom even had a spa bath and shower that was on a hose which is perfect for cleaning kids if you have any! The beds were comfy and rooms well heated with aircon if it was needed.
Just a few minutes walk into town and parking this place was a fantastic find that I’ll stay in again. Value for money – a rarity currently! Thanks for a wonderful if not short stay.”
