Terms and Conditions

To ensure fairness to all customers and to maintain the highest standard expected as members of Hospitality NZ we have adopted the following policies at Chelsea Park Motor Lodge, Nelson NZ.

Creditcard surcharge

There is a 2.5% surcharge on all credit card payments.

Cancellations For Individual Bookings

Cancellations or amendments to bookings must be done in writing by email. Cancellation must be received no later than three days prior to your arrival.

If you cancel within three days prior to your arrival, you will be charged 100% of the total booking amount. However we will endeavour to on-sell the rooms and will refund any on-sold room tariffs, minus a one-off administration fee equal to the value of your first night’s accommodation.

All cancellations received prior to three days before arrival date, will incur no charge.

Chelsea Park Motor Lodge strongly recommend that travel insurance is purchased to cover costs arising from unforeseen circumstances and changes in travel plans.

Cancellations For Group Or Multiple Bookings

Cancellations or amendments to bookings must be done in writing by email. Cancellations or amendments with less than 14 days notice from 2pm on the check-in day will result in the total amount of the booked accommodation being charged to the guests credit card.

However, we will endeavour to on-sell the rooms and will refund any on-sold room tariffs, minus a one-off administration fee equal to the value of your first night’s accommodation for each room booked.

No-Show’s

If you haven’t cancelled your booking in writing within the required time and you don’t turn up, the full room rate will be charged to your credit card.

Reception Hours

Reception is open from 7:30am -8:30pm Monday-Friday and 8am-8pm Saturday , Sunday and public holidays.
*Early check-in and late check-out is only by arrangement with motel management and may incur an additional charge.

Parties And Noise

Chelsea Park Motor Lodge strictly enforces a no parties and noise Policy for the comfort of all guests, and will not tolerate excessive noise at any time. Guests who do not comply with these policies and disrupt the peace and quiet enjoyment of other guests will be required to vacate the premises immediately and without refund.

The credit card of the registered guest will be subject to charges for damages due to guest complaints regarding excessive noise during posted quiet hours.

This may include paying the tariffs for guests who leave as a result of your excessive noise. All visitors to your room must leave quietly by 10pm.

Guests

Visitors are permitted at the management’s discretion.

Visitor must leave the premises quietly before 10pm.
We do NOT allow large, noisy gatherings or parties in our rooms.
The registered guest is responsible for the behaviour of all of the visitors to their room for the duration of the registered guest’s stay.

All deliberate and/or reckless acts that result in damage to Chelsea Park Motor Lodge property plus any costs associated with inappropriate behaviour resulting in loss of income to the motel will be charged to the registered guest.

As parking space is limited, visitors vehicles are to be parked outside the complex.

Smoking

Our motel units are smoke free inside. Smokers are asked to please smoke outside away from open windows, doors and other guests, especially children. In the event of someone having smoked in the room we will engage a specialist cleaning company.

We reserve the right to charge such costs and any resulting loss of income to the registered guest.

Strong Smelling odours

In order to avoid residual lingering food odours that may be offensive to subsequent guests – the cooking of strong smelling foods is not permitted in this motel.

If strong residual odours remain, the registered guest may be charged a minimum of $100 for the cost of professional cleaning. If the room cannot be rented until the smell is removed, the registered guest will be charged for the resulting loss of income to the motel

Pet friendly

Pets are allowed upon request only. A one off $30 pet surcharge per pet, up to three nights will apply.

If four nights or more we may ask for an additional pet surcharge of $20. All pets are to be groomed prior to arrival and be fully house trained. Pets are not allowed on any furniture and are required to have their own bed for sleeping. NO pets should be left unattended in the rooms. Two pet maximum per unit.

Seasonal rates apply. Minimum booking periods may apply.
